French-Japanese violist Frantz Loriot performs solo and is active in a number of international ensembles, crossroads of different musical genres: from improvised music, experimental, contemporary music to electronics. He has contributed to multidisciplinary projects related to dance, image, theatre and poetry. Loriot regularly performs around the globe (Europe, USA, South America, Japan & Middle East) and has been heard aside people such as Barre Phillips, Joelle Leandre, David S.Ware, Anthony Braxton, Jakob Bro, Hugues Vincent, Jeremiah Cymmerman, Gerry Hemingway, Hilmar Jensson, Hans Koch, Morishige Yasumune, Theresa Wong and many others. After having lived in Paris and New York City, Frantz relocated in Zürich (Switzerland).

Daniel Studer (double bass) was born in Zürich in 1961, lived and worked in Rome from 1981 to 1995, is now living with his family in Zurich. His focus lies on improvisation and mixed forms of improvisation and composition. He participated in various projects involving space – and projects with live electronics; further fields of interest are music and language, music and dance, music and video poetry. The constant exploration of his instrument has led to performances as a soloist, too. For years he has been working with Peter K Frey, Mischa Käser, Katharina Klement, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Dieter Ulrich and Alfred Zimmerlin. Presently he is part of the Kontrabassduo Studer-Frey, Kimmig-Studer-Zimmerlin, III-VII-XII (with Mischa Käser and Urs Haenggli) and the Gabriela Friedli Trio. Concerts and radio recordings in Europe, Japan and USA. Among others he played with Lester Bowie, John Butcher, Massimo Coen, Jacques Demierre, Paolo Fresu, Gabriela Friedli, Steve Grossmann, Gerry Hemingway, Barney Kessel, Katharina Klement, Hans Koch, Joëlle Léandre, Kirk Lightsey, Paul Lovens, Franz Loriot, Fredi Lüscher, Magda Mayas, Mike Melillo, Don Moye, Pascal Niggenkemper, Evan Parker, Eddie Prévost, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Tony Scott, Elliott Sharp, John Tilbury, Massimo Urbani, Urs Voerkel, Bobby Watson, Chris Wiesendanger, Philip Zoubek and many others. He has been teaching improvisation at different music schools so at the Bern University of the Arts since 2006. 

Benjamin Brodbeck: Born 1977 in Liestal (CH), currently living in Basel(ch). Studied drums and percussion at the drummers collective New York(1998) and at the Musikhochschule Luzern with Pierre Favre(1998-2002). Currently doing a masterdegree at the musikhochschule Basel in "free improvisation" with Alfred Zimmerlin and Fred Frith. He works as a freelancer in bands and projects, composes music for theater-plays and has a lot of fun mixing his favorit tunes to danceable dj sets.

Sebastian Strinning Born in 1985 in Brugg (Switzerland) and currently living in Lucerne, Strinning is a Swiss/Swedish jazz musician whose focus is on experimental jazz and free improvised music. Since 2013 he’s been involved with organizing concerts in Mullbau and performs with Gerry Hemingway and Manuel Troller in the trio 'Tree Ear'. In 2014 he won the 'Credit Suisse Jazzförderpreis' with his solo project and worked with Marc Unternährer to put together the Dienstags_Jazz Concert Series in the Kleintheater, Luzern. In 2016 he won the „Werkbeitrag“ from the county of Lucerne and founded the Band „Le String’Blö“ alongside Lino Blöchlinger. In 2017 he won a residency in Chicago. Sebastian Strinning has played and continues to play with Lauren Newton, Shahzad Ismaily, Frank Gratkowski, Joachim Badenhorst, Fredy Studer, Colin Vallon, Julian Sartorius, Harald Kimmig, Daniel Studer, John Voirol, Christian Weber, Marc Unternährer, Loriot, Flo Stoffner, Jonas Kocher and many others.

 Takumi Seino  清野 拓巳  guitarist, composer

Takumi Seino, guitarist, composer, has performed and recorded with diverse acts including his own works on VOS records (Japan), Priority - Musea records (France), Next Order - LoLo Records (USA), Six North - Musea records (France), Ryo Hashizume Group - Hao records (USA), PRAED and TAKUMI SEINO - GPS Records (Japan). As improvising musician He has been working with many talented artists all over the world. Also, acted a lot of improvised solo performances. His unique expression is so colorful that people often says "pictorial". He has appeared on over 50 CD releases on the labels in the U.S.A., Europe and Japan.

Takumi graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 1996. He was selected as a guitarist for the Berklee College of Music All Star Band and performed at the 23rd Annual IAJE International Conference in January 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. At that time, he was awarded by IAJE a Special Citation for Outstanding Musicianship. He was also named best guitarist at the YAMAHA competition in Osaka, Japan 1985. 

　13歳でギターを手にし、15歳頃からライブハウス等での活動を始める。1993年渡米。バークリー音楽大学演奏科入学。1996年同校を最優等で卒業。在学中より自らのグループを率いて、ボストン、及びその近郊にて演奏活動を重ねる。また、さまざまなセッション、レコーディング、コンサート等にも数多く参加。1996年8月帰国。以来、自己のグループ、ソロ演奏での活動と平行して、精力的に国内外のミュージシャンとの共演を重ねている。多くのリーダーアルバムをはじめ、日本、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ等のレーベルから50枚以上のCDを発表。ジャンルという枠にとらわれないボーダレスな姿勢、独自の世界観をもつ音楽は海外からの評価も高い。

1996年1月、アトランタで開催されたIAJE(International Association of Jazz Educators)主催による第23回ジャズフェスティバルに、バークリー・オールスター・アンサンブルの一員として選出され出演。その際、個人賞（Outstanding Musicianship)を、IAJEより授与される。

1997年7月、ボストン在住のベーシストJane wang,ドラマーScott Gouldingらに招かれ、ボストンにて演奏活動、レコーディング等を行なった。その活動は地元新聞、雑誌等でとりあげられる。また、WHRB,WERS等のJAZZ専門FM局に日本人ミュージシャンとして招かれ、ゲスト出演する。

1998年５月、HAO RECORDS(USA) MUSICIANとともに日本ツアーを行う

Shin'ichi Isohata 磯端 伸一   guitar, compose

He was born in 1962 in Osaka, began to play a guitar from 12 years old, and soon got interested in the harmony and ad-lib of jazz, then began to study them and guitar technique by self-education.

He studied modern jazz theory and fretless guitar technique under Tim Donahue during 1982-'85. After that He studied under Masayuki Takayanagi during 1985-'91, He corrected the foundation of the technique of a guitar thoroughly in Takayanagi's private school, and learned his aesthetics and philosophy of music a lot . Isohata was one of Takayanagi's last few students. He lives in Hyogo since 1994.

His musical activities have many variations, and he has a lot of experiences as costarring with many wonderful musicians. His guitar music consists of Images that are created from the perception, and his original theoretical structure. His music has so delicate calm sound, clear tone, and a Japan beauty. His lifework, series"EXISTENCE" was started from 1996. It aims at sharing of esthetic space with artists of other fields, also it will be continued throughout his life.He has played with so many co-star artists at home and abroad. 

In 2014, he composed the soundtrack for documentary film “Legacy of Frida Kahlo - Miyako Ishiuchi, as weaving" (Director : Tadasuke Kotani).

1962年大阪府出身。12歳の頃よりギターを弾き始める。同時期にジャズのハーモニーやアドリヴに魅かれて、ギターの技術とベーシックな音楽理論を独学で習得。1982年から'85年まで東京でティム・ドナヒューにフレットレス・ギターとジャズ理論を学ぶ。1985年から高柳昌行氏に師事、高柳氏の私塾にて氏の亡くなる1991年まで楽器の基礎技術を矯正習得し、高柳氏の音楽美学と哲学を学ぶ。1994年より兵庫県在住。

感覚イメージと独自の理論から構成されるギター・ミュージックは、デリケートで静謐な響き、透明な音色、日本的な「間・余白」などに勤しむ。

1996年から始めたseries "EXISTENCE" は、他分野のアーティストとのコラボレーションを含むライフワークであり、時空の美的共有を目指し現在も継続されている。共演者は音楽だけにとどまらず国内外に多数。

2014年、ドキュメンタリー映画『フリーダ・カーロの遺品　-石内都、織るように』(監督 : 小谷忠典)の音楽を担当。
