Jason Kahn
Born 1960 in New York, Jason Kahn is a artist, musician and writer. He lives and works in Zürich. Though having played in Japan numerous times since the mid 1990's, this will be Kahn's first visit to back to the country since 2014. In the past he has worked with many Japanese artists, including Tetuzi Akiyama, Taku Sugimoto, Toshimaru Nakamura, Aube, Utah Kawasaki, Lethe, Seijiro Muryama, Takuji Naka, Takefumi Naoshima, Makoto Oshiro, Sachiko M, Keichiro Shibuya, Toshiya Tsunoda, Taku Unami, Takahiro Yamamoto, Katsura Yamauchi and Otomo Yoshihide.

1960年ニューヨーク生まれ。アーティスト、ミュージシャン、ライター。チューリッヒを拠点に活動。1990年代半ばから度々日本に訪れ公演を行い、今回は2014年以来の来日となります。これまでに、秋山徹次、杉本拓、中村としまる、Aube、ユタカワサキ、Lethe、村山政二朗、中琢爾、直嶋岳史、大城真、Sachiko M、渋谷慶一郎、角田俊也、宇波拓、山本隆博、山内桂、大友良英など、多くの日本人アーティストと共演を果たしています。
"On this tour Kahn will be working with electronics, using a chaotic feedback system that places his body in the circuit flow. Grabbing the open leads of a modular synthesizer with his hands makes and breaks circuits, causing the synthesizer to overload or momentarily collapse. Various contact microphones, electromagnetic inductors and the synthesizer's own output via a mixing board are used to modulate the parameters of the synthesizer. This results in a very dynamic system, often difficult to control, but allowing great expressivity—much like any acoustic instrument, but electronic. Live radio captures during the concert and field recordings made beforehand in the performance space and its environs provide further working material for each concert. In the end, these performances are essentially site-specific works, improvising with the space at hand, both in the sense of its physicality and the sounds found there. Every performance is different, not only because the music is improvised but also because the source material used pertains directly to each space being played in." - Jason Kahn
『今回のツアーでは、カオス的なフィードバックシステムを用いたエレクトロニクスによる、回路の流れの中に自己の身体を置くという演奏行為で臨みます。モジュラーシンセサイザーのオープンリードを手で掴んで回路を作ったり壊したりして、シンセサイザーをオーバーロードさせたり、瞬間的に崩壊させたり…。また、様々なコンタクト マイク、電磁誘導器、ミキシングボードを介したシンセサイザー自身の出力などを用いて、シンセサイザーのパラメーターを変調します。しばしばコントロールが厄介なのですが、この非常にダイナミックなシステムを活かした結果、まるでアコースティック楽器のような電子的表現力を持つことができるのです。他にも、コンサート中にラジオで録音されたライブ映像や、事前に演奏空間とその周辺で録音されたフィールドレコーディングも、各コンサートの演奏マテリアルとして活用されています。要するにこれらのパフォーマンスは、本質的にサイトスペシフィック(その場的)な行為であり、身体の感覚と発生した音によって、現場の空間と即興で向き合うというものです。即興面だけではなく、使用される素材がそれぞれの空間に直接関与するため、毎回違う演奏となります。』- Jason Kahn

Kazue believes it's nothing other than "music" that she creates with her instruments which are made mainly from scraps and effectors, and that the music is not avand-gard by any means. However she’ｓconfident that she's making music that nobody has ever heard and is difficult to describe. Solid ethereality.
廃品等を使った自作のアナログ楽器とエフェクターにより構築するのはあくまでも”音楽”であり、また決して前衛的なものではない、と本人は思っている。しかし、誰も聞いたことがない、形容が困難な音楽をつくりだしている、という自負はある。目指すのはソリッドな幽玄。

He do the act involving sound, composing, playing with one's immediate surroundings, and trumpet. He developed a number of unique playing techniques on the trumpet. He mainly works with subtle sounds. In recent years, he has hold a museum-like sound performances, including sound tests of daily necessities, tent solos, and performance like street-stall keeper. In addition, he also organizes "the event for hearing the house creaking noise". He also hosts over the "Akibin Orchestra," a group that blows empty bottles while accompanying them with movement.
Other his activities include: popo/HOSE/Black & Mountain/ Counterpoint/ an association of Oto-Asobi-No-Kai etc... and, he is a member of "Grattan Carnival". He is selling stones collected from various beaches as "Ezaki & The Family Stone". He will be using a trumpet this time.

She has been based in Kyoto since 1998 as a turntablist. She treats the turntable as a musical instrument and performs with a sound that amplifies hum noise. In recent years, she has also been presenting three-dimensional works and video works that visualize the sound of her own performance. She has performed in many foreign countries, and has been invited to festivals such as REFLUX (Berlin, 2022), Audiograf (Oxford, 2017), and LUFF (Lausanne, 2015).
1998年よりターンテーブリストとして京都を拠点に活動。ターンテーブルを楽器として扱いハムノイズ を増幅させた音で演奏する。 近年は自身の演奏する音を視覚化した立体作品や映像作品も発表して いる。 海外での演奏活動も多く、 REFLUX（ベルリン、 2022）、 Audiograf（t オックスフォード、2017）、 LUFF（ ローザンヌ、 2015） 等のフェスティバルに招待されている。

Since 2007, she has been playing theremin in "Sizzle Ohtaka & asian wings".
Since 2009, she has been active in the ambient unit "Tanzaku" with Kohsetsu Imanishi (koto).
In 2013, she participated in the premiere of "Will this moment ever let go?" by leading Norwegian contemporary composer Magnar Åm, performing throughout Norway and the country.
In the same year, she participated in the twin theremin psychedelic progressive unit " andmo' ", and released their 1st album "Unidentified Mystic Aether".
In 2018, she appeared on ABC TV's "Agent WEST!", teaching theremin to WEST.
She is involved in a variety of genre-less performances and has performed with many musicians.
2007年より『おおたか静流＆asian wings』にテルミンで参加。
2009年より今西紅雪（箏）とのアンビエントユニット『短冊』で活動。
2013年、ノルウェーを代表する現代作曲家Magnar Åmの作品
『Will this moment ever let go?』の初演に参加、ノルウェーと国内各地で公演。
同年ツインテルミンのサイケプログレユニット「andmo'」で
1st album『Unidentified Mystic Aether』リリース。
2018年、ABCテレビ『エージェントWEST!』に出演、WESTにテルミンを指導。
ジャンルレスで多彩な演奏活動に取り組み、多数のミュージシャンと共演を重ねている。

Musicからも多数の作品をリリースしている。
近年はモジュラーシンセの即興演奏に力を入れており、神戸元町Space eauuuにて山本信記氏との月イチセッション企画Monday Night Labを主催している。
