TETUZI AKIYAMA / 秋山 徹次

Born in Tokyo, April 13, 1964. Akiyama specializes in creating music with elements of both primitivism and realism by connecting his own aspirations, in a minimal and straightforward way, to the special instrumental qualities of the guitar. Sometimes delicately and sometimes boldly, he controls sound volumes ranging from micro to macro, in an attempt to convert the body into an electronic entity.

ギタリスト。1964年4月13日東京生まれ。

ギターという楽器の持つ特質に、自身の欲求をミニマルかつストレートな形で加えていくことによる、原始的で即物的な意味合いを含んだ演奏を得意とする。ミクロからマクロに至る音量を、繊細に、ときには大胆にコントロールし、身体の電子化を試みる。

Currently, he is more active in composing, while maintaining an interest in improvisation. These past few years he has performed, worked, and collaborated closely with Radu Malfatti, Manfred Werder, Stefan Thut, Cristian Alvear, Christian Kobi, Simon Roy Christensen, Johnny Chang, Takashi Masubuchi, and Minami Saeki. He is a member of Suidobashi Chamber Ensemble, an ensemble focusing on performing compositions of contemporary or experimental music.

作曲家,ギタリスト,即興演奏家。この所は作曲に注力すると同時に即興への興味も持続。ここ数年の共演者はRadu Malfatti, Manfred Werder, Stefan Thut, Cristian Alvear, Christian Kobi, Simon Roy Christensen, Johnny Chang,増渕顕史,佐伯美波

又、実験音楽・現代音楽を演奏するグループ、Suidobashi Chamber Ensembleのメンバーでもある。

I am very happy and honored I will be participating in the music for the play "Pan's Ear" by film director Tadanori Kotani. I will actually perform. I am very excited to see what kind of world will be created by Mr. Kotani and other artists, the performers who are same my age, the famous actor I saw on TV action drama some decades ago, the very interesting fine artist, and other unique actors, all written and directed by Mr. Kotani and others. We hope that many of you will be able to attend.

映画監督の小谷忠典氏が手掛ける演劇『パンの耳』の音楽で参加させてもらうことになりました。私と同年齢のパフォーマーの方、何十年か前にTVアクションドラマで見たベテラン俳優の方、非常に興味深い美術家の方、そしてその他の個性的な俳優の方々と、小谷氏他の脚本・演出によってどのような世界ができ上るるのか、、、胸を膨らませてベストを尽くします。多くの皆様にご観覧いただけることを願っております。

あらすじ/an outline of the story

A country that could be real. Ken, a 60-year-old pharmacological researcher, is reunited with his childhood friend Marlow at a restaurant he stops by. A memory of 50 years ago is awakened. It is the night before the outbreak of war with a neighboring country. The residents of the town were frightened by a mysterious disease, "bread crust disease," which broke out in a nearby village. In the new school year, two new students arrive at the town's elementary school. Ken, the son of an arms dealer, and Marlow, a motherless family. Marlowe, who had kept his heart closed due to his misfortunes, opens his heart to Ken's kindness. However, as if to test their humble friendship, a harsh fate approaches.

現実にあるかもしれない国。60歳になる薬学研究者のケンは、立ち寄ったレストランで幼なじみのマーロウと再会する。呼び覚まされる50年前の記憶。それは隣国との開戦前夜。町の住人は、近くの村で発生した謎の病気「パンの耳病」におびえていた。新学期、町の小学校に２人の転校生がやってくる。武器商人の息子ケン、父子家庭のマーロウ。抱えた不幸のため、心を閉ざしていたマーロウは、ケンの優しさに触れ心を開いていく。だが、そんな二人のつつましい友情を試すかのように、過酷な運命の足音が近づいてくる。
