The movie "Tamaranzaka" at The 7th Arts Theatre, Osaka, and Stage greeting by Mayu Ozawa, actress in the film [The program has been extended until 4/22! (The short film "Bibi no Yukue" (2020 /15 min, Director: Tadasuke Kotani, Cast: Hinako Watanabe) will be shown before the main screening on 4/16(Sat.)-22(Fri.) (the 2nd week)].
I had seen the film on my PC several times before the screening, but the best part of the film is to see it on the big screen. It is a beautiful picture that deserves to win the Best Cinematography Award. The film's content is a process like turning the pages of a book, with overlapping illusions (images) that seem to deceive reality, and a sense that writing and watching are happening at the same time. We may have to unwind the multilayered flow from time to time.
An excellent speech by Mayu Ozawa, who came to Osaka from Tokyo for the stage greeting, explained more clearly the essence of this mysterious movie. I found new things I had missed myself in the Q&A with Mayu Ozawa by several film connoisseurs. Naoyo Yakushi presented a bouquet of flowers to Mayu Ozawa, and finally we took a commemorative photo.
